About Me
My name is Lorena Balić. I am a senior studying Health and Fitness Leadership with a Minor in Writing at the University of Michigan with the intention of continuing onto law school. My family emigrated from Bosnia when I was one year old. My background has instilled the devotion, work ethic, and familial values threaded through a lot of my content. To further explore my culture and writing I interned at INCroatia, Croatia's primary sports and tourism agency in the summer of 2016, producing work to highlight the local area and leading visitors around the Balkan beauty. I have also created numerous large-scale creative and professional development projects during my internship (and now job) at Move Wellness, an Ann Arbor mind-body fitness studio. I aim to create written work aligned with international politics, global health concerns, humanitarian movements, and the arts utilizing a fresh focus, imagination, and application in all endeavors.
